Chaffee Management Group, LLC is an artist development, management company and speaker's bureau representing a roster of leading Christian recording artists and author/speakers including David Phelps, Donald Miller (Blue Like Jazz, Searching for God Knows What), Out of Eden and The Isaacs. Founded in 2001 by Jim Chaffee, CMG is dedicated to providing direction and artist development to the life-long career and ministry of its clients.
Jim Chaffee, President of Chaffee Management Group, has over 25 years of experience in the Christian music industry to draw upon in his position as Manager for these gifted artists and speakers. He previously held the position of Vice President/General Manager of Myrrh Records in Nashville, Tennessee, overseeing the recording careers of Amy Grant, Jaci Velasquez, Anointed, Rich Mullins, Crystal Lewis, Fernando Ortega, Michael Card, Salvador, Mark Schultz and others. Under Chaffee's leadership, Myrrh Records added a Black Music Division in 1998, the first of its kind in the Christian Music industry. Chaffee has served for ten years on the Gospel Music Association Board of Directors and served as Chairman of the GMA Week committee for 2001-2002, and Chariman of the GMA Board for 2003, 2004 and 2005. He also served as Talent Director and as Executive Vice President for The CONTINENTALS and was instrumental in developing the Christian Artists Music Seminar in Estes Park, Colorado, currently owned by the GMA.
Jim, along with a team of associates, has built a solid company which has been instrumental in all aspects of their artists' careers.
